Stryda,

I see from your last post that you are in the process of joining the RAF. Not thinking of leaving already are you?

Try HERE for details on pay, perks, terms and conditions etc. or HERE for the going rates on unlicensed and licensed jobs.

I worked as line engineer A1 on 757, had about 3100 euro bruto a month including night shifts. When becoming B1.1, I had 3800 bruto.
Today I am sort of contracting, doing 5300 netto, but Always outside my home country.

I would be interested to know what engineers on cessna's and Pipers earn.

UK, Cessna Citation type rated,
B1 £30,000 to £35,000 for 40 hours plus ot at time and a half or double time on sundays.
B2 £40,000 to £50,000 ditto,

Dependent on age/experience and number of type ratings held on Part 66 and limitations if any.

Any body interested pm me,
Best regards,

Why the big disparity between B1 and B2?

B1 engineers with several Citation types are quite rare, B2 are very rare, so market forces, also since EASA/CAA have imposed Part 147 type rating requirements on the industry, with no Citation B2 Type courses available, this can only get worse ( or better, depending on your situation), there is evidence that the European NAAs take a more pragmatic view of the situation, and accept that the training provided by the OEMs is acceptable.
Best regards,
