GPU..how much power KVA needed ??

Hallo people..

looking at getting a used GPU for a corporate / FBO type ops..and wanted advise on the type of power needed. It needs be able to handle Corp.type jets..and 737F..DC-10 etc. Is there a unit type that can handle both ? or would i need to get 1 of each for the different type jets.
Will 90 KVA suffice for a 737 ?

Cheers

Yes, using 90kva GPU only a problem when you get up to B777 or B744, and then it can be managed. i.e. no hyd pumps or fuel pumps or ovens, and 90kva is OK.
But I saw a picture of an A380 with four GPU!

GPU Selection

Guys,

Interesting thread - I'm going through a similar problem. I can see the sense in limiting activity to low power requirements. However, suerly if its not power matched properly the GPU could cause damage to the aircraft in an undervolt situation - notwithstanding sensitivity of the aircraft protection system. Grateful for any thoughts.
