Using ASAs "AMT LOG"

Hi all,

I'm a pilot who also does a good deal of maintanence on a plane I own a share of (under the supervision of some other partners who are A&Ps). I recently decided that I should log the maintanence in my own logbook, so that should I decide to try and get my A&P, I'll be part of the way to the FAA 30 month requirement (interpreted by many FSDOs to be 4800 hours or so)

Anyway I bought the ASA "AMT LOG". it has two sections:

The first, as you can see, is for maintanence and the second seems to be for instruction. So does anyone have any idea how I should use it--should I log classroom only in the back? Log everything in both sides (with an A&P signature in the back)?
Any ideas?

Asa suggests that work stuff goes in the front, and educational stuff in the back: I think this means that I should log everything in the front (for the hours) but not log repeated stuff in the back (only the first time I change an alternator out). Does this sound logical?
