Post Can any one help.

I have a good friend who has just completed his initial exams and done some work experience on light aircraft, he is now looking for some work experience on Gas Turbines before taking his CAA oral. I'm sorry if I'm not up on the jargon but I'm sure you all know that us Flight Deck really don't know what you do!

Hope someone can help as all he seems to be getting is letters of rejection.

Crash1,
You might have your buddy look into this online FAA software (guides and testing). I can't promise anything but it might be helpful. http://www.dauntless-soft.com/

We have a lot of requests along the same lines, problem being airside passes. Have you tried any overhaul facilities, R-R at Derby or GE at Llantrisant. Another problem, is if they ain't broke we don't fix em. An overhaul shop will be able to show him round all parts of the engines and stages of maintenance. If the civvies can't help ask the RAF. Tornado engines are overhauled at Woodhall Spa in Lincs, or they used to be! Hope this helps.

Also which part of the contry is he in ??
