Cool

Do you mean will a region 2 (UK) DVD play on a region 1 (North America) player, then NO.

If they have a multi region player then yes.

Or do you want to take a UK PAL player to Canada? Then as long as the voltage is correct and the TV plays PAL then yes, if the DVD outputs PAL and NTSC then yes.

Not a very well put question I'm afraid!

Depends upon the DVD - check the printing on the back. If it shows a specific region, you may have a problem since the more expensive DVD players are "region locked".

If you've created it on a PC yourself, it's highly unlikely to be region locked.

If they've got a very cheap DVD player, it's unlikely to have the region locking facility anyway.

And if you copy a DVD on your PC, your copying software should have the ability to remove the regional coding anyhow.

By the way, please use lower case - pure capitals is hard on the eye.
