AN management rorts still going on.

Just heard that one management pilot has convinced the administrators that it would be cheaper for them to endorse him on the 767 rather than hire ferry pilots. Personally I would have thought it cheaper to revalidate line captains but I guess they aren't in the boys club. Is it any wonder we may only get 72 cents in the dollar with these sort of rorts. I think they all need to be reemed out!

Unhappy

This sort of corruption is only a reflection of what has gone on in the Flt Dept of AN for over 30 years. Nothing has changed & never will. A sad ending for all concerned. A tragedy for Australian aviation......

The tragedy for Australian aviation started when Peter Abeles and his dopey mate Bob Hawke got together and tried to destroy the Australian Federation of Air Pilots.

Thumbs up Never resigned and never will!

Sorry to disappoint you Shiraz but I am still a fully paid up member of the AFAP and will never resign whilst I am gainfully employed in aviation.

Whiskery: Resignation or not, your contention is open to a great deal of questioning. It is my recollection that their action was, in fact, a reaction to a challenge laid down by the AFAP, by it's leadership if not ALL members voluntarily.
That is not to argue the initial post about AN's management practices.

Kind regards,

TheNightOwl.

If this AN manager can convince the two Marks that it’s cheaper to endorse him on the 76 than hiring one of the squillion endorsed ex-AN 76 pilots currently out of work, I’ve got this bridge I’d like to sell them… One owner, good returns, prime position, harbour views…. You know the one…

Seriously though, if this story is true, it illustrates very clearly what a lot of ex-AN people have been saying for some time now – Mark/Mark have been spending the AN money like two drunken sailors on shore leave for the first time in a very long while.

Unfortunately, that particular analogy can be extended to include what they’re doing to the ex-AN people as well, something very similar to what drunken sailors spend a lot of their money on.

In closing, I’d love to know who this AN manager angling for a 76 endorsement is – that would make the story even more interesting. How many are they continuing to pay on retainer (reducing even further the money to be paid to the hapless ex-staff)? The list should (hopefully) be rather small. He’s not yet another Mark, is he? (Thought he had one already.)

Even more tragic

Andu, what about when these "Managers" offer their services to Singapore Airlines for the new 'star alliance' airline they're backing for startup in Australia.

The lawn mowers will be getting a service as we speak.

L2? Is that you? If so, mate, why don't you sort things out for yourself. Just get that pen out and do a bit more work on your logbook. It worked last time, didn't it?

Metro Boy,

It's now obvious to me why your hndle includes 'boy'. You just ain't been around.

In some airlines, the left (entry side) rear door is named L2, i.e., rear entry.

Apparently some of our number have a penchant for this type of activity, and this gentleman is one. He would be at home in the middle east. I understand that type of conduct is more than acceptable in the Arab countries.

I thought that the other handles such as Public Enema a No 1, Rear Admiral, might have given you the tip.

One Dot Low, now he's another guy altoghether. Same concept though. How are you Dickie? Or are you Jeeesus?

If anybody feels that they'd enjoy lodging a complaint with the administrators, particularly AN 767 Capts, then their email addresses are as follws:

[email protected]

[email protected]

I emailed and asked them to confirm or deny whether this was true, but as yet havn't received areply.

Incidentally, that's not a complaint about Enema Bandit/L2/Rear Admiral's conduct, but rather about endorsing somebody to do ferry flights rather than calling in a currently endorsed pilot.

Pls excuse typos!!

All you AN guys/girls seething with resentment at this rumour can rest easy.

A good friend had confirmation from the administrator that 'shave' is indeed not being endorsed on the 767 so that he can ferry aircraft overseas. It seems that this is one rort that was shortcircuited by input from the troops.

This is not worth a new topic, but permit me to say what a delight it is to visit PPRuNe now that Woomera has put a stop to that bitter, misguided rubbish re '89.

Onya Woomera.

Cool

"..that bitter, misguided rubbish re '89.

Yes - now it's coming from ex-AN staff and directed towards Air New Zealand and Virgin Blue!!

Sad (as in pathetic), isn't it?

Especially when outsiders don't see it the same way as some of you apparently do!!
