Arrow Relocating to W.A.

Hi,

Considering a relocation from east coast NSW to WA to look for that first exciting aviation job (even though no pilot jobs these days).
Just wanted to get tips from anybody out there on where to start? Where is it best to look for work in WA? Any help and guidance would be appreciated. I am a junior CPL (1 yr), with a fresh grade 3 instructor rating, and am willing to do any sort of flying available - jeez.....i sound like an advert

OK, that's all.

I would suggest head to the Kimberley, North WA. Best time is to get there in the Wet season so you are known by the time the Dry season starts, get another job to pay your way and keep bothering all the operators. I would suggest maybe Broome is a good base as it has more opportunities for other work, while waiting for that first job, also from there you can go out to Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek and up to Derby to sus out operators there . I would suggest to stay clear of Kununarra as I hear it is the umemployed pilots capital of the world. You should try and get a few hours on a C206 and a C210 before you head up there.

I did my time up there and had a great time.
Good luck

I DON'T KNOW

BROOME IS GONE.
20-25 UNEMPLOYED PILOTS WAITING IN A LONG LINE.
DON'T MEAN TO DAMPEN YOUR THOUGHTS AND ASPIRATIONS THOUGH, BUT IT'S A LONG WAY FROM HOME WHEN THERE IS NOTHING AT THE END......................................................... ...... I THINK NOW, THAT BROOME HAS ALMOST REPLACED KUNUNARRA.
HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU HAVE AND ON WAHAT TYPE?
DARWIN MAYBE?? TO BE OUTED TO THE BUSH SOMEWHERE.
KAKADU AIR - LOW TIME PILOTS
GOOD LUCK BUDDY.
