Air NZ did not innocently get caught holding the 'pear' shaped Ansett.

Singapore Airlines actually offered $500 million to NCP for their half share. Unfortunatley for myself and , many others, perocial pride and business stupidilty won out and AIR NZ exercised their pre-emptive right (remember that they negotiated this some YEARS earlier when they bought TNT's half share).

How then can AN Staff be expected NOT to blame Air NZ.

Well, this is Dunnunda and Godzone after all.

Where abuse crosses the Tasman back and forth over anything everyday ('89, AN, ANZ, Rugby, Refugees, NZ Government, News Corp, NZers flying in Oz, Aussies flying in NZ, and so on and on and on and on....).

A real phenomenon in fact.

Bronte,
Lots of ill-informed Aussies like you love to perpetuate the myth of the dole bludging kiwi at Bondi just as you push the tired, timeworn 'Air New Zealand was responsible for Ansett's demise' nonsense. The fact is that the expatriate kiwi in Aussie is more productive, earns more and has a higher employment rate than the average Aussie.

Talking

Well, Well and I thought this was going to be an intelligent discussion regarding the latest court battle against the former QFNZ bosses and the state of the flight crews as regards to the ongoing battle to get their overdue pay, etc.

Boy am I wrong.....

Why doesn't someone mention the great saga of '89 then we can all sit down for a decent bit of biffo, with tea and scones.

and I thought pilot's had to have a certain level of intelligence to fly.

Reading all this gives me a headache. And "Kaptin M" likes to refer to "professional pilots" but not many of them can even spell correctly.

News Corp screwed Ansett but Air NZ finished the job. Ansett did actually make money, they just never saw any of it. The kiwis only 'wisely' dumped Ansett when it was all over. A bit late by then.

And let's not forget the wonderful sight of an AirNZ 737 setting course out of ML with a belly full of engine spares, tools, parts, etc, to take home in case the ANZ wages, fuel, and freight bills (about AUD70 Mil /year) they ran through AN's accounts were not enough of a pillage. You can see why aussies are a bit p!ssed off.

So we all agree, then, the Kiwis are to blame... we will forgive the debt if they agree to stop speaking with that ridiculous accent.

Kavu resents Aussies in flying in NZ, and An pilots wanted AN flying. Sounds like 1-all to me. Now we all know how it feels. Unfortunately Qantass comes out on top.

RAAF pilots do crash over there but are smart enough to do it in RNZAF aircraft, well, back when they still had some aircraft. (Just like their pilots do over here...)

Why don't we all agree that horrible dike with 300 teeth, Helen Clark, is the perfect target for EVERYone's wrath???

It's good to see someone so effortlessly wind up others and watch them bite... ! I laughed like hell when I read Bronte's fighter "jitt" comments... good one, ma-aaate....!

waterops,
Air NZ's share price has risen 34% in the last 3 days trading.
That should really wind you up.
