Looking for info on the strip at Mittagong NSW. Anyone landed there lately?

Length, surface, local conditions etc would be greatly appreciated.

You need a copy of "NSW Country Airstrips Guide" which has details.

Flew over it a few weeks ago. Situated east of township, has a racetrack at west end, single strip facing approx E-W, can have extreme turbulence in westerly winds. Surface gravel, sides grass (caution hidden stones), displaced threshholds at both ends, several hangars at southern side, windsock and clubhouse northern side. Caution: hills surround airfield. Private strip, contact details etc on above-mentioned publication. IALA code YMIG


Hope this helps...re the turbulence, it has wrecked Cessna-sized light a/c so be wary.

The airfield is currently unavailable as it is being resurfaced, this information is current today as I rang to see if I could use it.

Length is 1200m with displaced thresholds.
