Erudite call Kaptin M.

I still fear there are many other agendas running in the background. I do not for one second immediately consider that these agendas are automatically all or at all negative but too many years of this industry and it's two faced leech marketing bastards has left this little black duck a little cynical.

I wish to be proven wrong in my assesment. Please.

Whilst l can't help but agree to most of the suggestions recently, don't forget that the AIRPARTNERS are 40% involved here, and they don't appear to be in the real-estate game at all.
Had the privilage of talking to the Fox property manager only a month ago. He mentioned the poor returns Ansett mis-managed to get from their $1 billion in assets, particularly from the new SYD terminal.
But the influence of this foreign mob is to get the airline up to a point to float it. And for that to happen, you need to make it successful.
Good luck to 'em l say <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Hagas and other friends - the main problem seems to be public perception of AN# whatever. We have no solid commitment to sell up to a stated date with confidence. The punters are nervous - as many have been burned.

We are giving it our best shot but it is not easy.

The worst part is that we are unable to talk to anyone at Ansett that actually knows anything. Kendell is the shining exception - I have managed to find a wontok there and can amke things happen as we used to. Ansett is still an enigma.

Major rumblings within Kendell too.

Why on earth are the staff (and good staff they are too) being treated like offal??

There are redundancy agreements in place that the admin are saying are not relevant. What on earth is the problem?? An agreement is an agreement.

It will cost what is left of the company more money trying to win a lay down misere battle and the Company will be the loser.

Idiots!!

Whilst a bit off thread, the rumour of Tesna placing the terminals in a separate company only reflects what Ansett has already done. An inspection of the AN Administrator's site will show for example that the Perth Ansett Terminal is owned by an Ansett Australia Holdings Ltd subsidiary called Airport Terminals Pty Ltd. One assumes that AN Airlines and Skywest paid for the use of the terminal. 501 Swanston St was owned by a "pty ltd" company of that name.. .Who would lease terminal space from FLEW if AN3 closed down? It was reported on the weekend that QF don't want AN terminal space at SY and ML after having redeveloped their own terminals, although they could do with a lot more apron and terminal space in Perth, particularly to overcome the absolute chaos when two 747s are on the domestic together. Virgin may lease a few gates and check-in counters. What of the rest of those fingers in SY and ML, another Westfield Shoppingtown?

Don't think that a Westfield will open - but sure think that Solly's Premier Investments will get his FCUK Chain up and about!

On a more positive side for AN (God knows they need it!) we are finding less brand resistance, particularly short term.

Our biggest fear is the KD side of things being mis-administered into oblivion and not having a way to get our passengers to their AN flights.

I am sure there is a hidden agenda running at the very top of the FLEW consortium. The A320 pilot selection conundrum just goes to reinforce that.

How long does it take to cross endorse from Ford Louisville to A320???

Dont answer that - please - I am sure it has been considered!!

We are getting more information and sense at the moment out of the Chinese airlines that are flying into Oz - and they are a complete screw up!

D'oh

We are all flaming passengers at the moment, aren't we.

And now the executive captain Jensen bails to the Rat.

What is the percieved fallout of this?

No criticism at all - something must have triggered this.

E/W loco. I'm asking the same question - Jensen bailing out - makes you wonder what he knows that everyone else in Flt Ops doesn't.

Also, Diners Club have 2,000 proxy votes - how many does the APA have?

above - it aint over 'till the fat lady sings - and she is just warming up.

I did notice that the internal corporate hotel booking system is still working - acceaible by AN and those that know Merlin.

The lights are coming back on - one at a time.

It is nice to see the Saabs beetling on their merry way past my office window knowing the loads are coming up = ebven if the yield is lagging a little.

Skippers - a Half mile from the Mersey River - look for the shopping complex with cathedral windows - QF/BA tails - should be clear as day on an approach from the west - dip a wing - the Kendell and Ansett signs are still in place.I will be waving back as I can see you plain as day from my desk. They will stay as long as you guys and girls do.

I am not considering removing them - ever.

Best all as always

Not including A320 pilots, as long as you were in the boys club or a checkie you were okay.
