Post Impulse Beech 1900s replaced in QLD

Local news reported tonight that Sunshine Express Airlines will replace the Impulse Beech services from Brisbane to Hervey Bay and Maryborough latter this month with a Shorts aircraft.. .. .Have Sunshine purchased another Shorts from Sunstate or will they use their current one?. .Is this the beginning of the end for the Impulse Beech 1900s or will the aircraft be deployed elsewhere?. .If the Beech 1900s are going are the crews moving onto the jets?

Zed your answers appear to confirm what I heard today about the future of the Impulse 1900's (there is none). Apparently last week senior Impulse management visited all bases to inform the troops about the future direction of the company. From what I hear there was no good news for most of the 1900 pilots and those based in Brisbane will be hit hard with the base to close by mid year.
