On a ferry flight once....

Climbing out of Bombay (as it was then) with an impending transfer to HF...

Control says:

"ABC..report when you lose contact"

!

We looked at each other and just decided to just acknowlege!

There is one I remember now. Over India some while ago.

ATC: ""Air India 995, report present position"

AI995: "In the cockpit, Air India 995"

Not sure if the capt was joking....wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't.

Wink

Approach : "XYZ, turn right heading 090."

Me : "Right, 090."

1 minute later...

Approach : "XYZ, why did you turn in that direction instead of continuing north?"

Me : "Uhhh... because you told me too..."

Approach : "Oh, well that's as good a reason as any..."

Just coming off the busy period, I think he was stressed. Brightened up a dull flight though, gotta be thankful for that.
