Wink Total breakthough this time - How to access and sell AN/KD/ZL realtime - and it WORKS

Weeellllllllllll PPRuners - The system is beaten.

It took some time but a lot of thought (and numerous Tooheys Reds) - but the Loco has worked out the formula to check real time AN and subsiduary availabilities - fares and make booking direct into Merlin.

An agent can add a fee for service until the turnaround comes - but now we can rock and roll!!!!! It is so bleeding easy and logical that I missed it. Ticket direct with the airline on a credit card - agency owners or whatever - add the fee for service and GO FOR IT.

Here is the trick. This is current for Sabre and works. (@@ = change key change key).

@@QYC

120NOVMELSYD and you have a real time MEL SYD AN availability - then sell as normal.

Then complete the booking as normal - it will upload into Sabre when finished - If anyone isnt familiar with Merlin formats just call me working hours 1800 067207 - Ron is the name.

Fare displays work by doing the usual FQADLBHQ20NOV and you can check the itinerary is correct by doing a WP. All rule displays are available by doing the normal RDxx where XX = line number.

Now we can rock and roll and get the girl jump started.

If you need to know the how and why - email me as above or call the 1800.I am closing the previous thread as it didnt come to what I was told to be fruition. Here is something positive we have control of ourselves and can help the AN staff and those Travel Agents that are staggering - and there is a great number of both.

JTMM - We have contact!!!

PPRuners at the pointy end in the nice uniforms -please pass this on to EVERY Travel Dude you know. The administrators cannot stop a groundswell - and if they know - they will help. There is nothing worse for a T/A than not to be able to make a booking for a valued client. This is quick and easy.

This works equally well for AN AN(KD) ZL and YC services.

WOOHOO!!!! I knew there HAD to be a way!!!!!

Best to all from an ecstatic to the point of delerious

Well done EWL however as I don't have SABRE I'll have a play with GAL even though don't need to.

EWL I support your enthusiasm but if you have to go by that involved a method to book and then pay by credit card direct plus charge service fee why not use the internet based system anyway - far less risk?

Also - Is it excitement on your part that you mention YC or did you check their avail because to best of my knowledge they are not flying at all yet. If you have seen schedule and/or costs for them then recheck the system because you possibly are not in real time or system has old info not deleted and is subsequently suspect.

Nice one An Admin - since yesterday they must have twigged the fact that an "outsider" had figured out access and have removed the ability to load contact and ticket time limits from the system. Either AN just dont want help or Sabre has got boshie. Tried to make a booking for a client today - if it was you AN Admin A BOOKING - you know - a bum in a seat and discovered that the availabilty would work but the booking couldnt be completed.

For crying out loud - what does one have to do here.

I bl*ody give up. I tried.

Good onya EWL. I applaude your tenacity and support to get us "at the pointy end in the nice uniforms" back into our rightful seats.

Does the administrator know what you guys are trying to do for us.

I just hope there is some (any) resolution to all this really soon as Christmas is just around the corner and I can see some very disapointed kids on Christmas day when the big 'ole jolly fellow doesn't visit any AN houses.

Hang in there fellow AN buddies.

Well beerplease - it is a lot better than it was - It would appear that Sabre has picked up what I was doing and has removed the "translation" function that alters a Sabre input into Merlin compatible - and on the AN side - they have removed the "bypass" functiion from our access.

One can still check availabilities and price bookings do that is a major bonus. Made several bookings today - with fee for service - and not a whimper from the SLF.

One without fee for service too - a mates infant grand daughter passed away suddenly and his sister couldnt get a decent price out of MEL even with the comapssionate fares.

My mates Jed and Wokka at Wagga took excellent care of the lady and cleared WIP (instant purchase W class) seats for tomorrow.

Even though hurting and seeing years of hard work and love evaporate before their eyes, they are STILL the Airline Don nurtured and saw grow until the buffoons thought they knew better.

Just love seeing the 1040AM bugsmasher come tooling past my window every morning.

I know it is a giant QF and BA tail the skipper sees on our cathedral window (AN and NZ had first option but wouldnt play) about a mile from the Mersey - but give us a waggle anyway!!!

Best all

A frustrated - but still caniving Harry the hacker.
