Prang at Airlie
This is purely speculation as I do not have any evidence whatsoever to back it up. I do however suspect that the aircraft in question may be a well known s*ut owned by an aviation mover and shaker who also lives in the area; JW.
From what I remember inexperienced pilots not working with the airfield owners company used not be able to fly into the airfield in question.
After seeing the picture on the news, I was very happy to see everybody got out alive the pilot must have done a reasonable job.
Might need a beer after that one..... <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

SPINNERHEAD, more like spannerhead!! It is propably a wind up, but I have taken the bait hook line and sinker. Just because a pilot bends an aircraft doesn't necessarily mean he is a bad pilot, you have to consider all factors. All the passengers are safe, and that is the number 1 concern. You obviously didn't see the report on TV. How can you tell the plane was bent, it was burnt to a crisp.
Good work to the pilot.
