My understanding of OJB was that the colours were such a success they are staying on until the paint deteriorates to the point of a required repaint - in the normal scheme... Heard it was done only for a single Japanese tourist season because there is a significant weight penalty with the paint. Must be paying off!

That sounds pretty close to me Lancer although it wouldn't surprise me if it got re done the same or similar when it was due for a re spray.
