Hey slasher I think that Spruce may have misread your question which was how much per month AFTER tax, not before.
Here is a link to the <a href="http://www.osiris.gov.au/html/agreements/22/V0535/0/IA000010.htm" target="_blank">VB Pilots Agreement.</a>
If you notice also that there is retention allowance which was 10 grand last year and 15 this year - this may be what GWPSOR's mate means he reckons that VB pay you back for your endorsement.

Those figures are out of date. The salaries have gone up since then. If you divide $110,000 by twelve months you will see that the gross salary is $9166.66 per month. Less tax and add in allowances and Slasher is in the ball park. Thats how I figure that. I Also look at the pay slip every month!

I calculate that the monthly take home for a yearly salary of $110k is approx $5680. That means you earn about three to three and a half grand per month in allowances for 4 overnights! Cool! Bring it on!
(Also wasn't the payrise simply 3%?) <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

Bonecollector. Please advise when you are capable of submitting a post with a semblance of intelligence. That was a very sad attempt at discrediting a highly experienced group of pilots.
Slasher. It's time for you to come back where you belong mate. Those young ladies can not take any more!
VB is a great place and moving ahead pretty well. There is a good mix of ex-airline (Ansett, Australian, NJS and oversees repatriating) pilots. I would have thought that augers well for an airline. A diversity that can only enhance a progressive operating environment.

Callbutton, I never told you how much I make so your calculation with respect to me personally is useless. Secondly Slasher said he was told the takehome pay was $6500.00 or more a month. Your calculation and my previous post seem to agree on that. I really can't see your point.

Yep, my fault, server went down before I had my "t"'s crossed and "i"'s dotted.
An average allowance claim for a regular line flying captain would be between $800.00 and $1400.00 a month depending on the show times and sign off times of the trip pairings that month. Now...what exactly is your point.
