Talking Turboprop rating

Can anyone give me some advice on where to do a rating in a turboprop like a Metro, King Air, or similar size aircraft, with some line flying afterward aswell?

I have talked to Ad Astral re the Beech 1900, but with the 1900's future (ex Impulse) uncertain I am not too sure that a 1900 rating is too wise.

Thanks fullaz

Have you tried Skippers at Perth, last I heard they charge you $5500.00 for a metro endorsement, this includes ground school, endorsement and approx 30-50 hrs line flying. Not sure about conditions, mates of mine over here on East coast who flew for Skippers say people arent very happy but at the end of the day they are very new metro's with all the fruit. GWA's 1900 are older aircraft and expensive endorsement with no guarantees of employment, (but I could be wrong, just what Ive been told).
I spent a few years on Metro's over here in Sydney, and I would have to say it is some of the best time Ive got. (no autopilot).

I believe that VH aviation (Corporate Air) in Canberra are now offering Metro 3 ground schools and endorsments. Don't know the costs though.

A Metro endorsement at Skippers is just that. Endorsement with minimal hours to complete the endorsement. The 30-50 hours line flying is only if you are to become a casual FO. Out of interest a Conquest endorsement goes for $8000.

Does anyone know how likely it is to be offered a casual fo position? What about other places to do a Metro endorsement?

Hey- I'll reply to myself...!

Hayward Jablowme, I called Skippers and they say that they only offer the endorsement to those who have gone down the pilot.staffcv path, been interviewed and been one of the top 4 candidates, then passed technical yar-de-yar and sim, then you pay $5500 for an endorsement (about half the cost hmmm), and are a casual f/o.

Oh well... next please.
