Maree Man.....Swagman Man!!!!!
I heard today that ther is now a similar piece of 'art' to the Maree Man in Queensland that is a picture in the soil of a Jackaroo or Swagman.
Can anyone confirm this....Maree gave me a few hours out of AD, what's the position of the new guy? ..if its true!!
Cheers.

sorry I can't shed any light on its whereabouts, but one of the tv channels did a piece on it (could have been Channel 7). It's a very impressive piece of work - looks a lot like Mel Gibson though
The guy and his wife did it all with a tractor and his mind's eye (no aerial view for help) without any formal training or background in art. He is one talented dude!
Maybe if you ring the channel's PR department?
God hunting - hope it earns you a couple of bucks.

MELBOURNE (Reuters) - An Australian outback picture of a cowboy ploughed into the semi-arid earth is largest work of art in the world, its creator has said.
With teeth the size of a football field, the head and shoulders picture of a hatted cowboy, or stockman, was revealed on Saturday after four months of secrecy.
Artist Peter Andrew Anderson said he used a tractor to draw the picture of the stockman on the Eldee farming property near Broken Hill, about 684 miles west of Sydney.
"This is a very complicated work of art and it has taken many months of very tiring work to actually get it to the point where it is now," Anderson said on the Nine Network.
The picture, called Eldee Man, is on the Mundi Mundi Plains where the Mad Max 2 film starring Mel Gibson was filmed, and is best viewed from high above in a light plane.
In total, the figure is 1.6 miles long and 1.4 miles wide.
"It actually fits in with the landscape because it is a very big picture and this is a very big country and very big plain. I think the two go together very nicely," Anderson, who comes from Broken Hill, said.
The project was partly inspired by the historic and mysterious Nazca lines in Peru, which are attributed by some people to the work of extra-terrestrials.
"They said the Nazca Plains could never have been done by man, well this is fact that it is possible," Anderson said.
Anderson also completed a painting of the Broken Hill region this year in what is thought to be the world's largest canvas by a single artist.
"I like to get people to have an experience, to enjoy something, to have an emotion," he said.
Thanks

I heard that the 'drawing' is near the town of Silverton - can anyone please confirm? I would appreciate the co-ordinates as I'm planning a trip in the Broken Hill area soon - this looks like an interesting diversion.
Many thanks
