Post QF DE Any news?

I have completed all stages of testing except the medical. I have had Q call recently asking me for updates of certain forms and they even sent me the Application form (red one) to fill out. Still no call for a medical though...

Anyone else in the same boat?

Question

Can I ask if you did your initial testing before or after Sep 14?

Thanks

BD,

I think it is safe to say that QF Recruitment are currently focused on finalising the details of the 2002 Cadet course. This means DE processing has probably taken the backseat for the time being. The fact that they were recently in contact with you regarding updates of your details can only be taken as a good sign. Hang in there - it's sure not an easy wait! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Thanks Tuner!

They talked to me twice in 1 week about that stuff and now I have heard nothing for a couple. I guess I was just gettin a bit excited.

The wait is frustrating though!

/Me sits patiently.

DE processing has definitely not taken a back seat. There is a DE course starting tomorrow (24th Jan).

RPPT,

All I was trying to say is that BongoDriver shouldn't be worried if he doesn't hear anything for a little while. With the cadet places likely to be finalised by next week, this means less time spent on DE applicants for the next few days. I was not implying that DE processing has stopped all together.

Tuner 2,

Sorry, I didn't mean to infer that you were giving BongoDriver, or anyone else for that matter, incorrect information. I suppose I just wanted other DE hopefuls to know that they should remain hopefull as recruiting appears to be healthy at the moment.

Speaking of cadet places, does anyone know how many Level 1s and 2s QF are looking at taking this year?

Kubin Rock Climber, I suggest you write your posts in a language that the general population of this Bulletin Board understands, if you wish them to remain unedited.. .Woomera

while we're on the topic, has anyone recently submitted a DE application with QF? if so, what kind of time frame can be expected from application to an invitation for first stage? does it vary much with different applicants or is everyone getting an equal shot?

any info would be greatly appreciated.

With all due respect Woomera wouldn't it be fair to say that Torres Strait lingo is more a part of Dunnunda than PNG lingo? I've never seen PNG lingo edited before.

Having said that, Kubin Rock Climber, we sabe your views on cadets!

Hang in there BongoDriver your time will come. It remains to be seen if you "miss those dark women!"

Cool

Greetings, good tidings and salutations to all.

I am very pleased to read the contributions of my esteemed friend and collegue "Bongo Driver". I wish to assure him that in my humble opinion those charged with procurement of trainee aviators for QANTAS airways, will be overwhelmed by his vast attributes and will invite him immediately into the fold.

My friends and I ; W,F,D and the gentleman who was so callously struck upon the head with a flowerpot, are gathering on the morrow for a fine day of barbecuing, drinking beer and playing cricket on the east lawn.

Tis my most sincere wish that you and your kin could join us, however I understand you have no aeroplane and this will prevent you from attending.

You remain in our thoughts.

Goodbye my friend

RPPT,

Just out of curiosity, of those starting DE PUIT courses, how many are non-ex AN drivers?

(If you have access to that info of course...)

Cheers,. .Turbofan

Turbofan,

I have no idea as I don't have access to such information. What I can tell you is that some people I know, who are not ex-AN, have secured jobs within the last couple of months, so the courses are not ALL ex-AN. Maybe someone who has started recently can shed some light as to the composition of their course?
