Yes.

But if AN Mk II gets up as a Virgin look-alike and together they take in excess of 30% of the domestic market, assuming the international scene does not improve, QF must end up with financial problems.

QF are and will be carrying a significant level of debt with their new aircraft purchases.

Its easy, freeze wages, cut spending, cry broke to unions, hire prison labour to depart aircraft and pilots from the Congo, then wait out your 5 year contract and leave with a bonus!!!

If you believe some of the rumours circulating within financial circles the question in six months time will be: Can DJ compete domestically against QF !.

My earlier post now reflects the correct IATA designator of DJ for Virgin Blue.

Thumbs down

If you look at the financial links between virgin atlantic and virgin blue and take into consideration that VA have just sacked one third of their pilots and 550 cabin crew plus office staff....VB will be squealing to the government for more assistance
I haven't seen bratty brett on telly whinging lately...so maybe it's the still before the storm.

Mark Mentha mentioned yesterday VBs market share has dropped since QFs massive increase in domestic capacity.Sobering really, not much chance of any real competition.

Please no more whingeing pommies.
