Angel MERRY CHRISTMAS...

Merry Christmas to all it has been a great year and lots of fun here on Prune. I am glad to see I still have those who love me and a very special chrissy hug goes out to Outback GA Driver.

Be safe, be merry, drink lots, party hard but don't drink drive...

HA...

p.s. Any Brisvegas peoples, anyone keen for a quiet drink 30th December?

Cool

HA,
I'll be in Darwin in the new year if you are there, a drink or two sounds nice.

Lame,
Don't be disheartened, there are still some of us who appreceate what you have to say.

To everyone else, I wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season.

A special thank you to Woomera for his hard work during the year.

lame, HA, & all those that regularly post here in Godzone,

THANKS for all the effort!

YOUR posts are read by alot more people than replies received!... perhaps 40-1 or more. So don't be discouraged about "hardly any response". I've almost replied a couple of times, only to have someone else post what I was going to add.... so I left it.

I've learned heaps by reading them. If not factual learning .. certainly learning about the mood out there in Prof Pilot land .. and how much help & encouragement that is given.

Even though the pilot jobs are scarce, I believe this is a TOP country to live in!

HAVE A FANTASTIC 2002, y'all.

Scotty!

O.K., O.K., I give in. Someone has to ask, so it might as well be me, "why was the Good will thead locked"? A less innocuous subject would be difficult to imagine, so I can only assume Woomera locked it 'cos it didn't relate directly to aviation. Could this be true?

Regards to all,

TheNightOwl.

Just to keep it neat and tidy, this thread will be the official D & G Merry Christmas zone.

All other Merry Christmas threads will be closed and transferred here.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah or whatever festive season you celebrate at this time of the year and lets hope that 2002 will see the end or at least the beginning of the end of all our troubles.
Peace, love and happiness.

I'm sure I am not the only one out there that is over the "whole" Christmas thingy.
There is certainly better things that happen annually that rate on my calender, ie Hookers and Deviates Ball, Sydneys Gay and Lesbian Mardigras ( for a laugh ), What about you ?????.

With all my family still in NZ it's hard to get enthused about Xmas.

Really has become just another day.

Don’t have kids do you! To see their eyes when they open there pressies on the 25th is fantastic! It lasts about three hours then the usual rot sets in! Mum, Sarah won’t give me my XX or Dad, Tristan punched me etc etc!

The best day of the year is the day I’m drunk…. Wait a minuite, that makes every day the best day!

Here here lefty, anyone know why Santa's suite is red and white? Because of the Coke Corporation that's why, the original Saint Nicklearse wore green
And what does xmass have to do with pressies anyway? It's supposed to be about what's his name.....JC!

25th of December is a monumental victory of of cynical marketing over the collective stupidity of the population!

Having said that I'm also a father and I do have a tree with flashing lights, decorations etc etc, for the first time in 8 years and only because my 12 year old lives with me now instead of that women.

What do I want for xmas? The same as every other day....oral sex Am I going to get it? Probably not.

Chuck.

A very Merry Christmas to all. May next year contain slightly less upheaval than the one almost ended (unlikely, but worth asking for!).

Special christmas wishes to Johhny Utah, FoxTrotter, FFRATS and of course, Blackout - and not to forget Woomera for not blacklisting me. Yet.

Merry Christmas to all and thank you Woomera for looking after all us reprobates. To lame don't give up mate! We really do appreciate what you have to say and I for one admire your enthusiasm for aviation. Like others I have gone to post replies often to one or other of your topics, only to find someone else has beaten me to the same thought. I bet this is true of a lot of threads, not just yours, so chin up mate and tell them to get a big wooly one up 'em!!

Keep posting and keep happy!

To everyone else, I hope next year is a good one for you and brings you peace and happiness and remember: Always keep the shiny side up, dirty side down and your anus behind you and you'll be okay!

Now come one...there's a bit of a cynical element out there, it seems..I am disappointed!!

Christmas doesn't have to be a triumph in consumerism, you know...it's your choice..you can resist it, and concentrate on the important elements of it...one of which I think is to try not to be too self-centred and to think of others on that day..family, friends, acquaintances..whatever..

Just a thought...

Merry Christmas,
M.

News just in..........

Edited especially for PPRuNe.....

(QUOTE ALMOST....)

*Woomera rioting enters day three*

Overnight fires and rioting appeared to have abated just after midnight local time.

Three fire crews, one ambulance and several police have attended the scene.

The acting Immigration Minister, Daryl Williams, says the Government is
not losing control of Woomera.

He has told Channel Nine, vandalism is not going to get the PPRuNe detainees released from their sin bin.

"The PPRuNe detainees, who have been provided with very good facilities and who
to our knowledge have absolutely no complaint about the facilities
there, are engaging in this campaign of damaging and destroying buildings in order to put pressure PPRuNe Headquarters to
grant them a release from the sin bin," he said.

There is a plea for so-called high-risk PPRuNe detainees to be separated from
the rest of the population at the Woomera Detention Centre in the wake of continued disturbances there.

(END QUOTE)

Merry Christmas Woomera, and all those PPRuNers you have in your detention centre....

429 CJ You are right there! The more Firma the less Terra! Though I have seen some spectacular Porter footage of what you speak - INSANE!!

But for a really hairy one - An Allison turbine rep I was talking to once had a still photo of an N22 imitating a Porter dive in Holland. Now that was Scary Sh%t.

Once again, best to all and catch you again in the new Year (I'm on hols in a couple of hours).
