AAP. .. .17:17 AEDST Mon 11 Mar 2002 . . . .. .Sydney Airport sale is back on. .. .The federal government has announced the resumption of the sale of Sydney Airport, suspended last September after the first Ansett collapse and terrorist attacks in the United States.. .. .Advisers told the government that market conditions had stabilised since the sale was deferred on September 24, Finance Minister Nick Minchin and Transport Minister John Anderson said in a joint statement.. .. ."The sale process will recommence at the preparation of the binding bid stage," the ministers said.. .. .The successful bidder will acquire the existing long-term lease over the airport site through the acquisition of all the outstanding shares in Sydney Airports Corporation Ltd from the commonwealth, they said.. .. .The government's sale objectives remained unchanged and the proceeds would be used to reduce commonwealth debt, they said.. . . .Reports indicate the government hopes to reap $4.5 billion to $5 billion from the sale of Australia's busiest passenger and cargo airport.. .. ."The government remains committed to the existing operating arrangements at Sydney Airport," the ministers said.. .. ."The curfew and the 80 movements per hour cap will remain in place.. .. ."Access for regional airlines will continue to be guaranteed by the Slot Management Scheme.". .. .The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission would ensure existing prices for regional carriers do not increase in excess of the consumer price index, they said.. .. .AAP

Also, G.A. airports were supposed to be capped.. .. .Now look at YBAF, YPJT etc. . .. .Touch & Goes charged at YPJT and 70% - 100% increase in lease/building rates at YBAF. . .. .Anyone know if BK is to be 'bundled' with SY or sold on it's own?
