Bulldog, I highly doubt a CONTRACT RECRUITING company is going to say "Oh no, we don't want your business...don't send in your resume, we don't have any jobs". If most of your speculation is based on a phonecall to a secretary, then you just lost a lot of credibility.

If I picked up the phone and told them I was a highly experienced C152 driver, would they tell me something big was in the pipeline?

Deamon Bag,
don`t ask for credibility but do give me credit for talking to someone a little more important than a secretary. There is something in the wind for 767 drivers. There was then wasn`t for A320 drivers and it would be useful to have a 737 endorsement. These contracts materialised and the speculation is only as to who they are for.

Honestly, keep your head out of the sand if you are relatively junior and make sure your union acts on your behalf. We didn`t at AN and a chunk of our flying disappeared without a protest to the CRJ.

Finally,if you are a highly experienced C152 pilot, try QANTAS not AWAS!
