Angry Look I know pprune needs the dosh but...

... Could you PLEASE think about getting rid of those incredibly annoying 'you are a winner!' banner ads which flash different colours at around 10Hz?

They're giving me eyestrain and it's only a matter of time before someone sues for them causing epilepsy...!

Who's going to click one anyway?!

Reply from mod appreciated... maybe copy this msg to the mods forum?

Don't view the page with graphics - turn them off, simple as that.

However, without the money made from these adds then there probably wouldnt be a pprune. For that reason I don't mind them.

If we really supported pprune then we both wouldnt be "Still just another number" would we?

Ad content has been a contentious issue on PPRuNe over the past year or two. Pop-ups were (in my view justifiably) condemned, and there are always those who, for their own reasons, disagree with EJ et-al being thrown at them from the top of the page.

I suppose a balance has to be made, and as long as Danny, Mik and the mods keep this site running as well as it does, surely we should not be too critical as to the ad content.

... but that ad irritates the hell out of me too.

Just get rid of the flashing "winner" one, all the rest can stay for me.
