TV room transfer
TV setup at the moment is a single set in the living room. M'lady will be coming out of hospital shortly and installing in a downstairs bedroom some 20 feet away (two intervening walls. Is it possible to move the 'screen' to the bedroom, leaving the Sky box as is (via wifi) ? Presumably, the alternative, using coax cable extensions would pose no problem ?
Any advice appreciated.

Our solution, having 3 TVs, the main in the living room, one in the kitchen and one in the garden room is to have 2 sky extension mini boxes connected via a couple of Sky wifi extenders (connected to the sky boxes not our broadband).
Without being a technical expert, I'd suggest that 20 feet thorough 2 walls with an HDMI cable from the Sky box to the screen may be stretching it. You may also struggle to control the channels on the Sky box through 2 walls if you are sat next to the screen with the zapper.

Is your Sky contract anywhere near being due up i.e. are they pestering you? Last time I was offered a free Sky multiroom box which means you can watch seperate channels in different rooms.
I'm sure there will be more technical solutions along shortly, but Sky do seem to be quite keen to cut a deal, so might be worth exploring. I ended up with a better set-up, paying less - and I'm the sort that that it never normally happens to.

If the TV is connected to the Sky box with an HDMI lead then those leads can be quite long. I'd guess 5 to 10m wouldn't be a problem and I've read that 20m is possible.
If the coax leads are from a satellite dish then they can be joined to an extension cable using F-Type couplers.

I am about as far from being capable of commenting on anything IT related as it's possible to get. However, when we moved in, we inherited a satellite dish cue my late lady decided a television would be nice in the conservatory and another in the lounge. I have no idea as to the couplers, but certainly, a cable was routed into the conservatory as well as the lounge. NOT Sky I hasten to add. Freesat.

The only question remaining is whether to extend the 'aerial' cable and move the Sky box and TV, or just move the TV and extend the Sky box output. ...

Switch to Sky Q or Sky Stream.
Sky Q uses your existing dish and Sky Stream uses your internet connection (if it’s fast enough). Both allow extra boxes to provide TV in the other rooms.
I have Sky in my lounge and pucks in 2 bedrooms using Stream and have no problems whatsoever.
The signal is internally distributed by the Sky router, but they provide extenders for free if there is a signal issue.
Next day delivery.

If it was down to me, there would be NO Sky usage ... certainly not multiples ! ... however m'lady wanted it ... so !
BL - I'm puzzled by items 2 and 3 ... they appear to be the same ?
Slow on the uptake (as usual !) ... two of those cables are needed !
