Google chrome stops connecting with pprune

Advice please

My imac, operating on an early version of Google chrome ( old imac wont update software) has started to refuse to link/connect with pprune
some pages link some will not link and it varies from subject/link to subject/link.I get the following message
"your browser sent a request this server could not understand.Size of request header field exceeds server limit"

Can anybody offer advice /help as to how to fix this pls ?

I think that's a cookie related error.

Even if it isn't,, clearing cookies is a reasonable first step when encountering this sort of problem.

Clear all cookies for the site. Otherwise try an alternative browser that you can update.
