Win 10 external drive mapping showing twice
Had this issue for a while now in File Explorer the external hard drives are mapped twice for some reason. Doesn't seem to be any easy solution to resolve this. I had hoped that Microsoft would release a patch or something similar to resolve this but as of yet none I'm aware of.
any tips would be greatly appreciated on how I can fix this.

Looks like this is a known issue, but no real explanation seems forthcoming.
If you can tolerate it I would leave it alone. There is a fix but it apparently comes back with at least some upgrades. Make sure you back up the registry as described before you start. Work carefully, you don't want to make a mistake.
I have a feeling that I have seen this happen but I just ignored it :-) I guess I am easily contented.
