Looks like this is a known issue, but no real explanation seems forthcoming.
If you can tolerate it I would leave it alone. There is a fix but it apparently comes back with at least some upgrades. Make sure you back up the registry as described before you start. Work carefully, you don't want to make a mistake.
I have a feeling that I have seen this happen but I just ignored it :-) I guess I am easily contented.
