Spam Texts

Recently, I've been bombarded with spam text messages on my Iphone. You know - you've won $$$$ (or gift card), just fill in this information (don't forget your credit card info) to receive your prize - or minor variations on that theme.
The one thing they all have in common is they come from a gmail account.
Is there any way to block all text messages from gmail accounts? I can block them individually, but that's largely a waste of time since these scammers simply create another accounts. In fact I see little reason not to block all email based texts since I never get a legit ones - I just don't know how to do it.

Anyone out there know how to block those texts?

No good solution but one person responded there with

They can't because these are coming in as SMS texts using a loophole in that system and that system is entirely under the purview of cell service providers and the FCC. If your carrier supports it forward them to 7726 prior to deleting them. And write to the FCC, your carrier and your congressional representatives. If the spammers find that device makers are abandoning the SMS rules and blocking ones from gmail they will then switch to Yahoo and other email providers.

FCC is an American organisation. If you are in the UK go to the OfCom website and follow their advise.
