Transferring email address
Hi Folks
I have had to replace my desktop on which I used Windows Mail.
On the new machine I have gone for Outlook, but cannot get the email addresses to automatically pop up when typing the first few letters of a contact. I have to select the address book and then select the name.
Does anyone have any ideas please ?
Thanks

Thank you
Thanks very much for your replies.
I have heard as mentioned that Thunderbird is a good alternative to Outlook. I'll give it a few more days, then if no luck may well move over.
Any other suggestions in the meantime would be appreciated.

PDR1 covered it, you need to use the addresses so that the autocomplete list is populated. Thunderbird is a great e-mail client that includes a setting allowing autocomplete based on both your address book and from 'collected' addresses.
