Transferring email address
Hi Folks
I have had to replace my desktop on which I used Windows Mail. On the new machine I have gone for Outlook, but cannot get the email addresses to automatically pop up when typing the first few letters of a contact. I have to select the address book and then select the name. Does anyone have any ideas please ? Thanks |

Danger is that the mail system sees all those bcc addresses, categorizes you as a spammer and blocks your email - it happened to me once.

Thank you
Thanks very much for your replies.
I have heard as mentioned that Thunderbird is a good alternative to Outlook. I'll give it a few more days, then if no luck may well move over. Any other suggestions in the meantime would be appreciated. gehenna |
PDR1 covered it, you need to use the addresses so that the autocomplete list is populated. Thunderbird is a great e-mail client that includes a setting allowing autocomplete based on both your address book and from 'collected' addresses.

Thank you for that information. I think I am slowly getting there with Outlook, but only time will tell. |
