Microsoft Works
Over the years I have become efficient with the use of Microsoft Works on my laptop using Microsoft Vista. So I copied the Works program to a USB stick with the intention of using Works in compatability mode on my PC which has Win 7. I copied the program but when I tired to use it I get a pop-up which says 'The Microsoft Software Licence Terms cannot be displayed. etc. To display the Licence Terms, reinstall Works'
I do not have any original discs! Can anyone advise how I might proceed?
I do not need any suggestions about using other 'office type' programs.
Thanks
Rast

You can't just copy the installed program from one PC to another, you have to install it from the original installation media.
You also can't install a program on another PC unless you have the licence to do so, assuming in this case that you are continuing to use it on your laptop.
You can ask MS nicely if they will send you the installation media, providing you can prove you are properly licensed, but it is probably simplest to just bite the bullet and shell out for a new version - .
