Anyone having a problem with links in incoming emails being replaced by the above, with a string of characters following, which leads to a 404 or similar page?

This has been happening for a few days now, and is making my emails virtually useless.

Gurgle and Bong don't produce any answers or solutions.

I'm using Thunderbird (31.7.0) on Win 8.1.

If you can determine when this issue started, try doing a System Restore from before that date. It may remove what you appear to have been infected by.

Run a FULL anti virus scan on your system. You can also use Free Online Virus Scans https://www.google.com.au/?gws_rd=ss...ine+virus+scan

I would also install and run Malwarebytes, Spybot and if your problem still exists have a look at Hitman Pro.

Whatever this problem is, it has been around for at least 4 years so it should be curable.
