USB Drives
Couple of my USB drives not being recognised since my last switch-on. Two friends have had the same problem. Have MS downloaded any *helpful* fixes recently which might have caused this ?
All working again now, just wondered whether there was a common cause.

There has been a Windows Update that "bricks" USB thumbdrives drives that show a false larger size. Windows Update bricks fake USB chips- The Inquirer
However since yours are now working it is not likely that this was the cause. These USB drives are usually available on eBay and appear to originate from China.
