Logten pro X
Just gave them a one-star negative review. Cheating b*stards.
I've found an alternative:
mccPILOTLOG
It will import LTP file, cost is €69 for LIFE, including sync to FREE iphone and ipad apps, and as a bonus it will also run on Windows just in case you need to change platform at some point in the future.

If I understand it correctly, as someone who only very recently purchased LTP 6 for Mac I think I'm actually better off as a result of the announced pricing changes. LTP X on Mac is now (I'm pretty sure it wasn't, or it certainly wasn't made clear at the time the changes were first announced) free and as I purchased it in the last 60 days I should be able to get the offered refund.
I agree, however, that the subscription charges are high for what the product is, particularly in relation to other aviation products, and suspect I'm in the minority of users. That said, I'm perfectly happy to make a note of flight times, etc. and update my logbook at home if I don't have my macbook it with me so am unlikely to subscribe to the mobile products.

BEWARE Log 10 pro
Do not update to IOS 8 if you want to continue using Log10 pro. If you do then you will have to pay a yearly subscription price of £50! Ok half price for now but.....
I say it's a rip off and I will take my business elsewhere

I used to defend them in the past, even for the rather ridiculous prices they charged for every major upgrade.
However i can't nor will i defend this pricing policy. It is absolutely overpriced and for the first time i'm considering moving on to other software options. For the time being i continue to use LTP 6, and especially for that haven't switched to iCloud drive, but that is not a permanent solution.
Keeping a logbook is a personal thing anyway, by law i am not required to do so anymore as my employer is responsible for that according to EASA FCL.

I wrote to Apple Store and asked for all my money back that I have paid for LTP over the years. To be fair on Coradine, they have agreed to give me a full refund - even though I made the payments more than 60 days ago.
I think I will still move to mccPilotlog though, as they are offering a one-off payment for lifetime cloud sync, and I really do not like committing to subscription software.
I would only consider staying with Coradine if they reduced their subscription price substantially - maybe $20 per year max.

annual subscription not acceptable
Nothing is justifying annual payment.
They are stealing our money.
It should stay one buy and free update as it was before.
This is not acceptable, Logten is a trap from monkeys.
I am moving to MCC pilot log

@ Trim Stab,
What avenue did you use to initiate the refund? Like you, I purchased the software more than 60 days ago but was refused a refund and instead, told to "work with the developer of the app for the resolution about their content".
Now, granted that they have not responded to my query about iCloud Drive fix for LTP6, the chance for any satisfactory resolution is remote........

Giant Con
Can't believe how much we have paid Coradine over the years, and this still isn't enough? If they came up with a new product that i thought was better than the existing version, then it would be my choice to move.....however, removing the sync option between the ipad/iphone, and the mac (happens when you move to yosemite and latest ios), basically removes the basic functionality forcing us to subscribe. Is this even legal? The product is no longer as described when purchased. Any legal boffins any idea?

Can't leave review...
Please take the time to leave them a negative 1 star review on the AppStore if you like me don't agree with the pricing of the new subscription plan:
https://itunes.apple.com/app/logten-...ign-mpt=uo%3D4
This will hurt them the most.

I'm also appalled by the way we have been treated here. I think they are underestimating their customers.
Doubtless the subscription model makes business sense to them as they know there will be limited improvements in functionality they can add in the future (its only a logbook after all!). It really is a ps take to think that the current pricing is acceptable though, especially for those who have paid for many previous versions.
I sent a second rather annoyed help request having already sent one prior to realising why iCloud sync wouldn't work. The response I got was fairly terse and stated that they had no way of knowing that Apple would change the way iCloud worked! A very poor excuse, considering they were ready with the new version almost immediately after the new IOS came out.

Total Rip-Off
Another disgruntled customer. I paid £54.99 in June 14 for LogTen Pro 6 and thought it good but pricey. I am very pi**ed of that they now want me to pay £34.99 a year for LogTen Pro X to restore the iCloud sync functionality that was lost with the iOS 8 upgrade. Why can't Coradine do what everyone else has and fix it for their existing customers?
I'm not going to pay £13.99 to leave them a one-star rating in the App Store but, if they don't fix this asap, will check out alternatives and will be voting with my feet.

Logten pro X
UPDATE:
I'm in the process of trying mccPilotLog out, and they've been very helpful. I sent them my tab-separated database filé exported from my logTen 6 iOS app and they converted it in a csv file in a matter of days.
The only drawback so far is their app's User Interface...
HUGE step back from LogtenPro...
Still haven't gotten any response from Coradine after 2 emails...

Logten pro X
[update 2]
Things are stalled on the mccPilotLog side as I can't import my previous flights into the desktop app in order for them to be synced to my iPhone...
I'm on a Mac, and their desktop software is still in beta...
So, for the moment, I'm sticking with LogtenPro. I did get an answer from a very capable woman who told me I had missed the 50% off offer because I wasn't a subscriber to their newsletter...
She offered me a redeem code to get LogtenPro X for Mac for free...
A nice gesture for sure.

I have been with NL since May 2007, it started out so well, a dedicated logbook for the Mac with a great interface. Sadly the recent pricing change final broke my allegiance and support for Coradine. The pricing structure that they had adopted suggests they have finally outgrown their niche. It is a real shame given the enthusiasm that the team had, their support was great but they tempted my patience vis a vis pricing before, but I stuck it out. Now there in no turning back
I am using Logten pro v 5.7.5 but it on\t open my logbook anymore... Is this planned obsolescence to force me on to the subscription version? Anyone else with the same problem?
