Outlook

Outlook seems to be up to tricks again, page loads then disappears then loads again. Frequently I cant reply and more frequently I cant delete. Goggle search recommends updating outlook but how is that done. Its a useless load of MS Huhnecacke.

Same with my account, it's most frustrating (nice version) you try to read a mail and then the screen decides to reload slooooowly and then it's normal again. If I was more cynical I'd suggest that they were trying to thin out their customer base

Are you discussing Outlook as in the real Outlook, an e-mail client which is part of MS Office - or 'Outlook.com' which is the confusing new name for Hotmail?

Why on earth those idiots at Micro$oft chose to use the same name for 2 different e-mail systems is beyond me.

'BEagle'@hotmail.com still works as it has done for well over 12 years now.... Which I've added to 'Office' Outlook as one of my e-mail accounts. That way you don't have to read puerile Yank-geekery such as 'Wow, you have a very clean Inbox!' , neither do you have to suffer Gates-greed adverts....

I regret that Office 2013 seems to have suffered a similar fate. For a taste of the delights awaiting you when you upgrade, click here and scroll about 2/3 of the way down. Commiserations (unless you enjoy being condescended to by dialogs and error messages, in which case, er, good for you?)

This is in reference to the 'new and improved' hotmail system. It is indeed strange why they have the same name, but perhaps not when/if they merge it all together at some future date. Hotmail used to be so simple and easy.

My list of programs which Micro$oft have killed off, but which were very popular with customers, now includes Hotmail.....as well as Photo Editor, Outlook Express, Office Picture Manager.

Isn't there any customer feedback process at this arrogant company which produces such unacceptable decisions?

Yes, I was in fact referring to the old hotmail. Today all I get is the main page which is static with five white dots going from right to left at the top of the page while it thinks what to do. Its been suggested that the inbox and saved emails might be clogging up the system, but as I frequently delete old stuff I dont think it a viable reason. Yesterday I had a message asking me why I didnt reply. Cos I f......king cant.

It's a free service, so after 'they' have got what is needed from a marketing perspective, customer service isn't at the top of the list. Either a 'new and exciting!' paid service will arrive shortly, or it's a conscious business strategy to discourage many users to somehow lower costs across their network. Why else would a business act in such a disjointed way towards customers ?
