(Micro) SD Card Locked
Trying to read and format a micro SD card in an adapter in my Canon Printer (wireless), but getting the 'write protect' error.
Slider is unlocked
Taped over the 'notch'
Still the same
Is there a reg setting to tell the printer slot to ignore this?

Seems the printer itself can be set so the card is write protected, probably a good idea as a default setting to prevent tears.

Merci, Le P! I had not seen that setting. Interestingly once I had changed to 'Read/write on LAN' (Wireless connection) it changed the message to 'Windows cannot complete this operation'. By changing the setting to 'Read/write on USB' (still wireless LAN printer) it worked.
Computers, huh!?
