It was so wonderful being able to browse the forum index and find a lone thread with this headline. Unfortunately since one could not access any of the visible threads I still had no idea that anybody was working on it 
Also of interest in these still visible thread last post in the index one could deduce the last post in the forum that probably caused the forum to crash.
This last post was in Jet Blast by Davaar at 0852 EST.
I think that an investigation is in order to find out what key strokes he actually used

Trouble is .......... as one can't get into the site to read the explanation/apology until after the event, there is no way of knowing that it isn't ones' own computer that is playing up. Coincidentally a local site was down at the same time, so I really did begin to think it was only me !
