Updating an old website

I have an "old" personal website that was built using MS Frontpage.
WANTED URGENTLY......ANY PARTS FOR A TYPE 9B MK 2 SEAT (JAGUAR) FOR RESTORATION IN MUSEUM DISPLAY....SEE WANTED SECTION FOR DETAILED PARTS REQUIREMENTS......
I would like to revamp and modernise the site but am not very technosavvy.
Can I "cut and paste" the whole site into a new programme and do it from there?
I like the WYSIWYG concept and would be keen to use this system.
I need galleries instead of standalone pictures
I do not like the CMS web system

Pretty much, yes. It's a simple site. I assume you want a free solution, so something like BlueGriffon might work for you. Since you've previously worked in a vaguely wordprocessor-like environment, OpenOffice/LibreOffice would also work.

Neither of the above would give you a particularly polished-looking site.

However, your current host offers several website building tools, so I suggest you talk to it or have a look around its website.

In HK you can get a rather smart looking website done for a couple of hundred quid. In your own locale do a web search for designers - you may be surprised how little it will cost to make a nice clean web site.

Agreed, but the problem with that is you end up with still being reliant
on someone else to update it.

If you have a basic web site that either uses a database or you can
update it yourself with links to say Photobucket, it makes it so much easier.

And a positive result of the above is that by keeping it "fresh",
it keeps it more interesting.

Not necessarily mate - you can have a web site made so that you can alter the content through an interface not unlike a 'Word' lay out. We have that on ours - even I can make changes, add links etc.

KompoZer - Easy web authoring
You may also need an FTP programme. If so try FireFTP - The Free FTP Client for Mozilla Firefox in conjunction with Firefox browser.
Both are very easy to use - I know, I can!
