Text in red.

Whenever the word police appears in PPruNe it is coloured red - at least it is for me.

Is this the case for other members, or has someone applied this filter to my account?

Maybe I have inadvertently applied it when searching for the word (which I did immediately before the change occurred) - in which case can I correct this?

Yup, I logged-out and cleared my cookies when I lost the facility to grey-out read contributions, but still this persists.

Of course I could suspect the actions of a mod - but why?

I've just repeated the logout/clear cookies/login and the red has disappeared.

I confess that the earlier logout/login wasn't accompanied by clearing the cookies, so maybe that is the answer?

Edited to add:-
This has also rectified the loss of the greying feature for read threads, so maybe the cookie is the solution to these maladies?

I'm not certain whether the 'whats been read' info is stored in a cookie or not, but I never clear pprune cookies unless I have a problem, as it means I have to sign in again next time I visit.
