Right click hell

Folks

For some reason my computer has taken to refusing to run any program unless I select it with a right click and a deselect of a tick in the Run As box which appears.

Does anyone have a solution to this "tick" problem.

Running Windows XP home.

Oh ...it won't let me System Restore either.

Grateful for your input

EW

Have you tried selecting the program and hitting Enter?

I reckon it's a double click problem as per the previous poster. You can slow down double click required speed if necessary in the control panel.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the replies.

I am not sure it is a mouse problem. When I try to open a program I am told there I have to create an association in control panel. The way around it is to right click on the icon and I am then given an option to remove a tick from a box. The program then runs.......does anyone know how to remove the ticked box option?

Oh and when I try to access control panel I get the no program associated malarkey and also no access to system restore......

Thanks
