Multi monitors

I am running a couple of computer setups using XP and four-screen displays. The top three screens come out of one of the computer I/O ports and the fourth comes out of the other. I manage them using a Triplex converter to spread the image from one output across three screens so it is in effect one output so far as the computer is concerned. The program using this is MSX, so that the instrument panel is displayed on the #4 screen (Screen #2 in the settings menu) with the panoramic outside view set up behind it, for better realism.
I have a problem with the mouse. In three of the setups the mouse will move logically from the top center screen directly to the instrument panel screen immediately below it, and back the same way, so that if I want to move something to that screen I just drag it down. But on one of the units the mouse will only go out the right side of the top display and enters the bottom one on its left side. How can I change it to agree with the other setups? I cannot find an adjustment anywhere.

I hate to bring up flight simulators here, but I find it impossible to get any good information from sites devoted to that form of entertainment. I use the equipment to manage 15 different professional ATDs and full-motion simulators for flight training and those who play games with that stuff do not think the same way. I am not trying to play tricks or special effects, I want a realistic product that allows real pilots to practice their skills without having to constantly adjust the displays and settings.

However I have another question that maybe someone here has an answer to: I set up an airplane, location, weather etc and Save it. Many times when I shut it down and re-open the same setup (LOAD) it is not the way I left it. The instrument panel might still be on the top screen, or the wrong size etc, requiring a readjustment before it can be used. I might set it for summer/day and it will revert to local time of day/night. How can I save it so that it opens the way I shut it down every time? I don't have this problem with Elite or XPlane, just MSX.

Kind of shooting in the dark here, but try Synergy, see if you can come up with a geometry that'll make things work.

Wowzers!! Here's me with my poky 2 screen flight sim setup

Synergy is for multiple PCs. I assume you've already tried to adjust the monitor position under Screen Resolution in Windows? Other than that I don't have any experience with custom multimonitor products...

FSX is horribly, horribly, HORRIBLY buggy. If that is the only problem you are having with it then you are exceptionally blessed and possibly the Messiah. No kidding.

I'm unclear as to whether it will help your situation but I use DisplayFusion Pro to manage my multimonitor setup. Very fine program - NOT free

Have a look - DisplayFusion: Multi-Monitor Taskbar, Multi-Monitor Screen Savers, HotKeys, Multi-Monitor Wallpaper, Windows Logon Changer and more...

I am using Matrox triple head 2 Go and it works well usually. My problem is with one of the ATDs that does not allow me to run the mouse cursor directly between the main display and the secondary display (instrument panel). I don't think it has anything to do with the Matrox unit.

I am using an alienware computer at work and I found if I move the position of the monitors on the resolution screen it changes the way the mouse moves. I will give that a try when I get back to look at the problem computer. Still looking for answers for the MSX Save problem...

I don't think you're going to find an answer for the FSX problem Boofhead, as FSX is just atrocious in many ways.

Moving the position of the monitors in the control panel to match the physical layout of your monitors should solve the cursor problem.
