Photos on pprune

Help! I can post photos on prune via Photobucket and although they are the correct size pixelwise (say 800/600) the images are too small. I need to increase the size without changing the pixels. Any clues you experts?
Thanks

Try this. If the Photobucket url has a suffix 'tn' (thumbnail) somewhere in the address then delete it. Then 'Preview' your post before 'Submit Reply'.

Under the photo in your Photobucket album there's the option of 'direct link', left click on it then paste it in the image bit in PPrune.

Thanks for that, but it still only posts the code and not the actual picture.
Am I being thick?

Have you got two 'http' at the beginning? Delete one.

You are selecting the image icon in the reply window, it's the fourth from the right, and then pasting the url into it aren't you

rogerg,

All I did was select the Icon

Then when the window opened, pasted the .url (your link) into it.

Note: Windows 7 required me to temporary allow a scripted window, but it was just a cut and paste after that. I'll leave this up until you try it.

My my my, y'all like doing things the hard way!

With each pic on photobucket there are 4 "addresses" below it.

Email & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG CODE

Copy the whole text in the bottom one and paste it here. That bit does the same as clicking on the "picture" icon here and pasting the address for the pic in the box that pops up.

Now that is strange.

When you click on the pic to get it full size on photobucket you'll see these options are now at the top right of your screen

I only tend to select from the thumbnails, it used to be a nice simple to use site, but they screwed it up with so called enhancements.

Well, that's the thing, I can get the 4 "links" from the thumbnails despite the "improvements".

Hmmm, starting to think about flashblockers, java issues, etc

If I use the bottom option which is labled IMG thumb I get this. ie the thumbnail instead of the full picture.

Well, Mr. Inman, I don't pay for photobucket so I have no idea why you have a different website to mine.

Sometimes photobucket will let you onto the site, but as a guest.

could you be using the wrong password? or a slightly misspelt username.

Forget photobucket, try this
