Hard Disc Recovery Software

Hi everyone,

I was doing a computer back up onto an external hard drive when the power went off.

I now can't access anything on the external hard drive , it won't show up on 'my computer' either.

Is there a good disc recovery program that I can buy and download online ?

Not free, but has good reputation. Theres probably many others and some will be free, but anyway GRC is a good starting place.

Have a look in Device Manager first. If it appears there, it's probably an issue caused by the improper dismount when the power went off. If it doesn't, it's more likely to be a problem with the external chassis itself as opposed to the drive.
