Disconnecting from server
Having a lot of bother trying to download software, as I keep having my connection severed. I hav'nt got broadband so have to use dial up. I seem to recall when I got my current computer, that I set a time of around 2 hours, before having to redial, does anyone know how to change the time of this so I can leave it on until I disconnect the connection?

It may be the exchange that is cutting you off rather than your settings.
Either way if you are dialup you may wish to download "Download Accelerator +" (Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) - Free Download Manager) This wont actualling increase the speed of your downloads in this instance but it will allow you to resume your downloads from where they left off if your connection is severed.

Thanks for that. I have used my sisters broadband to download the software and it seems to be working at the moment, but with my luck with computers, it won't be long till something goes wrong.
