I have Picasa on the desktop and the laptop, with both set to tell me about upgrades. Neither mentioned any update being available (both were on version 2).
This evening, seeing this thread, I did a manual upgrade request on the laptop, and it told me Picasa 3 is available, and updated fine.
The desktop insists Picasa 2 is the latest version, no updates available.
Quaint!

Curiously, it did the same with Sketchup v.6 - only noticed a new version was out when I saw it mentioned in a newsletter I get. Google being cautious?

That's a good point NF2.
I have a peculiar problem that hasn't gone away with the new installation.
I have asked it to look at two new folders, but it won't. They are both inside parent folders which I have also marked 'scan always' in case they were being blocked there. No joy.
Even took the 'scan the whole bloody drive' (or similar!) option which took forever, still no luck?????
