BALPA Website
The Balpa website www.balpa.org.uk doesn't appear to be working. I did read somewhere that they were changing it as of today, 3rd November. Anybody got the new site ?
Thanks.

Contaminated air campaign - it's over?
You know the great Blackadder sketch:
"Well Hurrah it's gone quiet, it's over......the great War, 1914 - 1917......".
Am I the only one to wonder what happened to Balpa's campaign for uncontaminated cabin air for their members benefit on their brand new web site?
Perhaps Balpa think all of their grounded members have forgotten...
Does anybody else wonder whose side Balpa are on and what the subscriptions are actually used for?
For the alternative site go to www.aerotoxic.org
The Aerotoxic Association won't let aircrew down so easily.

RoSPA article - flavour of the month...
Stormin Norman,
With respect, RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) has just published a 5 page article on contaminated air - this month!
You can see it on the Aerotoxic Association web site - here.
RoSPA will be doing an even harder hitting article next month on just how the airlines, CAA and HSE flout the rules that every other industry obediently follows.
Balpa reportedly told the Rospa journalist that the chemicals in aircraft fume events were '....no worse than experienced when walking along a high street'.
Not what Balpa concluded at their conference in 2005, where they stated that exposure to fumes causes chronic ill health....
If you fly bleed air aircraft, you really ought to know what you are breathing. Especially when the bleed air system goes wrong.....

The clue here is the word "new"........
The original forums are being reloaded............if you have ever migrated a website with large forums attached you would have a little patience.
Worse things are happening today without worrying about a late changeover of the BALPA chat forum...............
