No idea, to be honest, I just stream them off the bbc site, although my pc is hooked up to the big telly, so it's no hardship on my part to do so. Tea, crumpets, sofa, iplayer stream etc.

Any idea how to download from an Iplayer URL link?

Are you looking to take a downloaded Iplayer video and watch it outside of IPlayer?
If so you can download it in the latest version and then rip the DRM protection off to watch at your leisure either elsewhere or without a time limit.

If that's what you want to do I can post the steps necessary to do it.

Likewise, Andy - possibly better by PM than 'public' - it may be a bit of a 'sensitive' issue for Saab D?

I have a URL from the BBC 'Archives' in the form http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/etcetc.shtml which will not transfer into Iplayer for download.
