I am used to carrying around my bookmarks file from Navigator 4.5 on a floppy. [Being in .html it is quite handy to refer to them on a shared computer away from home]. Now I've changed over to IE5 I discover Mr Gates seems to have hidden the bookmarks file pretty well. Any ideas? [The 'find' function on the Start Menu hasn't been any help].

If you click on > file > import and export > then NEXT, select export favorites, then select where you want to save.
It will create a file called bookmark.htm, with all your bookmarks in that file.
Hope this makes sence.

If you use TweakUI or any of the other Windows enhancing utilities you can have the 'Favourites' folder stored anywhere you like.
Mine, for example, is on a different logical drive to Windows.

windows\favorites (where C is your windows drive).
