IE5 Bookmarks. What is the file name?
I am used to carrying around my bookmarks file from Navigator 4.5 on a floppy. [Being in .html it is quite handy to refer to them on a shared computer away from home]. Now I've changed over to IE5 I discover Mr Gates seems to have hidden the bookmarks file pretty well. Any ideas? [The 'find' function on the Start Menu hasn't been any help].

If you click on > file > import and export > then NEXT, select export favorites, then select where you want to save.
It will create a file called bookmark.htm, with all your bookmarks in that file. Hope this makes sence. FS :D |
The file itself is in c:\windows\favorites (where C is your windows drive).
If you open this folder you should see all your favorites in here. |
If you use TweakUI or any of the other Windows enhancing utilities you can have the 'Favourites' folder stored anywhere you like.
Mine, for example, is on a different logical drive to Windows. |
Thank you all for the good gen.
